Former Viking Punter Berger Working on Getting Back in the NFL

Former Vikings long-time punter Mitch Berger wants back in the NFL, and is currently trying to get his leg ready for possible workouts by woking out at the Braemar soccer field in Edina. The 12-year pro played six seasons with the Vikings, from 1996 to 2001. He also played one season in Philly, one in Chicago, one in St.Louis and then four in New Orleans. Berger was working out with former Vikings special teams coach Gary Zauner. The punter is trying to make it back in the league after not punting at all last year while with the Saints due to an injury.
