The necessary evil of training camp is just starting for Vikings players, who report today in Mankato.  They’ll get squared away in their Gage Hall dorm rooms and prepare for tomorrow’s conditioning tests.  Those who pass the tests are allowed to start practice with the rest of the team on Friday morning.  Last year, nose tackle Pat Williams was held out several days until getting through the conditioning tests.  The 320-pounder vows to be ready for Friday’s first drills.
