Vikings Trim Roster - McMullen and Pinner Released

Minnesota trimmed their roster Saturday, and among the Vikings cuts were two fifth-year veterans: receiver Billy McMullen and running back Artose Pinner. Last season McMullen had a career-high 307 yards and two touchdowns.  He came to Minnesota from the Eagles in a trade.  His release should pave the way for playing time for wide out Robert Ferguson, who signed with the Vikings last week. As for Pinner, he  filled in last season vs the Lions when Chester Taylor was hurt, and ran for 125 yards and three touchdowns. The team also released WR Martin Nance, DT Conrad Bolston, DE Khreem Smith, WR Chandler Williams and QB Tyler Thigpen. Nance lost out to Aundrae Allison as the team’s fifth WR. Mewelde Moore made the team over Pinner.
