Jackson Misses Practice, Holcomb Deserves the Shot

The Vikings may not be with their starting quarterback this Sunday, as Tavaris Jackson did not practice on Wednesday, and it looks as if it may very well be Kelly Holcomb under center Sunday when the Vikings play at Kansas City.  Reports say that Jackson, who is battling a groin injury, had a noticeable limp moving around the field during practice.  Holcomb should be the man on Sunday, as Brooks Bollinger is not going to make anyone excited playing QB for Minnesota, but I would be willing to say that Holcomb can get the offense up and down the field better than Bollinger.  Holcomb worked with the wide receivers during practice under the eye of offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and Bollinger with the running backs. Missing practice included Jackson, running back Chester Taylor (hip), fullback Tony Richardson (forearm) and safeties Darren Sharper and Dwight Smith.
