Holcomb Close To Getting The Start at QB

Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson took a few snaps during yesterday’s practice at Winter Park in Eden Prairie. He hasn’t participated in an entire practice session since suffering a strained groin muscle in the loss at Detroit on September 16th. That means Kelly Holcomb may get the start on Sunday against Green Bay at the Metrodome. Vikings coach Brad Childress says he’s still holding out hope that Jackson can go against the Packers.
