Field Goal Block Dooms Vikings 24-14 in Dallas

Dallas spotted the Vikings a 14-7 halftime lead, then rallied for 17 unanswered points to win 24-14 yesterday at Texas Stadium. The game turned in the third quarter, when Chris Canty blocked Ryan Longwell’s field goal attempt and Pat Watkins grabbed the loose ball and took it 68 yards for the go-ahead score. The turnover and touchdown came after former University of Minnesota all-American Marion Barber scored from the one-yard line to tie the game at 14-14. Dallas held Adrian Peterson to 63 yards on the ground, 20 coming on his second-quarter touchdown run. Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson struggled, throwing for just 65 yards and getting sacked seven times. The Vikings fall to 2-and-4.

    I thought TJ got sacked only 3 times. It sure did look like he got sacked more, but he got rid of the ball many of the times, once getting penalized for intentional grounding, if I remember right.
