Vikings quarterback Kelly Holcomb, right, holds his neck on the bench while being attended to by one of the Vikings trainers after being sacked in the third quarter

Kelly Holcomb’s third start at quarterback for the Vikings was cut short when he suffered a neck injury after being sacked in the third quarter. Holcomb says he went numb for a few seconds after getting rolled onto his head by Philadelphia’s Trent Cole. An X-ray revealed no broken bones, but Holcomb is stuck wearing a neck brace and is scheduled for an MRI today. Brooks Bollinger finished up at quarterback, completing seven passes but failing to move the ball into the end zone.
