Donovan McNabb threw for 333 yards and a touchdown to lead the Eagles to a 23-16 win over the Vikings yesterday at the Metrodome. McNabb was his old self, avoiding the Vikings’ rush and completing a couple of key passes to keep the Eagles defense off the field. The Vikings scored on the game’s first possession when Kelly Holcomb threw a nine-yard touchdown pass to Visanthe Shiancoe. They recovered an onside kick, but the Eagles defense forced a punt, and Philadelphia scored on its next three possessions. Adrian Peterson was held to 70 yards, while Brooks Bollinger completed seven passes after Holcomb was knocked out of the game. The Vikings fell to 2-and-5. They host the Chargers next on Sunday.
