For the first time this season, Adrian Peterson started at running back for the Vikings. He responded with 34 yards on the Vikings’ opening drive, which ended in their only touchdown in the 23-16 loss to the Eagles. After his good start, Peterson managed just 36 more yards, although he came close to breaking into the clear in several second-half carries. Despite being held in check, Peterson still leads the NFL with 740 yards on the ground.
