Vikings head coach Brad Childress says Tarvaris Jackson would start at quarterback on Sunday against San Diego if his broken finger is healed. If not, the call would go to Brooks Bollinger, who came on in relief against Philadelphia after Kelly Holcomb suffered a neck injury. Holcomb is likely out at least two weeks. With the team’s quarterback situation in flux, former signal caller Jeff George called a Twin Cities radio station and offered to return. George hasn’t played in the NFL since 2001.
