Vikings coach Brad Childress says if Tarvaris Jackson is healthy, he’ll start at quarterback Sunday against the San Diego Chargers at the Metrodome. Jackson took the majority of snaps at practice yesterday, and says his injured finger is much improved over last week. Childress scoffed at the possible return of Jeff George, who called a Twin Cities radio show and offered to come back. Childress says George never called him, and if he did, he’s recommend the former signal-caller join a fantasy camp. George hasn’t played in the N-F-L since 2001.
