Peterson Named Rookie Of The Month

Vikings’ rookie running back Adrian Peterson has been named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Month for October.  Peterson rushed for 357 yards and four touchdowns for the month.  He also set a new team record when he rushed for 224 yards in Week Six at Chicago.  The NFL gave Peterson the same honors last month, making him the first rookie to win back-to-back awards since 2002, when Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey and Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney did it.
