Jackson with a Concussion; Team may Pickup a QB

The Vikings may look to pick up a quarterback as starter Tavaris Jackson suffered a concussion Sunday in the teams upset win over the Chargers at home. Jackson was hurt after scrambling on a play and taking a nasty hit to the head as he dove to the turf. He claimed he was knocked out, and was frozen on the ground. “I don’t know what day he will practice on,” said coach Brad Childress on Jackson. Backup QB Kelly Holcomb is still on the mend from a wiplash injury suffered two weeks ago against Philly. Brooks Bollinger played for Jackson after he was knocked out of the game. The team was given the day off today as they will be back on the practice field Wednesday to start getting set for Sunday’s game at Green Bay.
