Posted in Daunte Culpepper’s first game against his former team came up short on the scoreboard, but the quarterback had one of his better games since his trade more than a year ago. Culpepper completed 23 passed for 344 yards and a touchdown, but he was sacked four times. His counterpart was less than spectacular. Tarvaris Jackson completed just 17 passes for 171 yards, and has a pass picked off in the end zone. The Vikings’ best passer of the day was wideout Sidney Rice, who completed two throws for 94 yards. His first toss was a 79-yard catch-and-run by Visanthe Shiancoe, which is the longest pass reception by a non-quarterback in Vikings history.
