Daunte Shines Against Old Friends in Minnesota
Posted by Matt Loede on November 19th, 2007 in News
Daunte Culpepper’s first game against his former team came up short on the scoreboard, but the quarterback had one of his better games since his trade more than a year ago. Culpepper completed 23 passed for 344 yards and a touchdown, but he was sacked four times. His counterpart was less than spectacular. Tarvaris Jackson completed just 17 passes for 171 yards, and has a pass picked off in the end zone. The Vikings’ best passer of the day was wideout Sidney Rice, who completed two throws for 94 yards. His first toss was a 79-yard catch-and-run by Visanthe Shiancoe, which is the longest pass reception by a non-quarterback in Vikings history.
