Taylor Proves His Worth Against Raiders
Posted by Matt Loede on November 19th, 2007 filed in NewsChester Taylor showed he’s more than just a backup running back. The seven-year veteran picked up where rookie Adrian Peterson left off with 164 yards and three touchdowns in the Vikings’ 29-22 win over the Raiders. Taylor has been flip-flopping all year as the Vikings’ number one man in the backfield. He’s there now because of Peterson’s knee injury. Vikings coach Brad Childress says Taylor would rather start all the time, but he is accepting his role. Peterson today ramps up his rehab by working out on an underwater treadmill. He wants to return for Sunday’s game against the Giants, but most likely won’t be back until the December 2nd home game against Detroit.
