Taylor Runs, Vikes Hang On 29-22 over Raiders

Chester Taylor rushed for 164 yards and three touchdowns, but the Vikings still needed a last-minute defensive stop to hold off Oakland 29-22. Sloppy play hurt both teams, with the Vikings turning the ball over five times. Ryan Longwell’s third-quarter field goal and Taylor’s final touchdown run gave the Vikings a late ten-point lead. The Raiders closed the gap on a field goal by Sebastian Janikowski, but former Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper couldn’t get Oakland into the end zone on their last possession. The Vikings improve to four-and-six heading into Sunday’s game against the New York football Giants in the New Jersey Meadowlands.
