Edwards Suspended For 4 Games for Steroids

Brad Childress is challenging his team to fight through more adversity following the announcement of Ray Edwards’ suspension for violation the N-F-L’s anti-steroid policy. The defensive end is out for the last four games of the regular season. He did not play in Sunday’s win over the Lions, but Childress says that had nothing to do with the action by the league. With Edwards out, rookie Brian Robison and second-year player Jayme Mitchell are expected to get more playing time on Sunday at San Francisco. That’s because former starter Erasmus James is still bothered by a sore left knee.
