Penalties Down, Wins Up for Vikings

Coach Brad Childress says it’s no coincidence that his team is putting together wins after cutting back on penalties.  The Vikings last season had the most penalties in the N-F-L with 123, but this year they’re averaging fewer than for flags per game.  Childress set the tone during training camp, having players run the length of the field every time they were penalized during drills.  The Vikings take a five-game winning streak into Sunday night’s home game against the Washington Redskins.  The Vikes would clinch a playoff spot with a win and a loss by New Orleans.
