Vikings Fight For Playoff Lives In Denver
Posted by Matt Loede on December 28th, 2007 in News
The Minnesota Vikings need a win and a little help to make their playoff dreams a reality this Sunday against the Broncos in Denver. Minnesota’s playoff aspiration were dealt a serious blow when they suffered a 32-21 loss to the Washington Redskins. The Vikes now need a victory over Denver and a Redskins loss to the Cowboys to secure the final spot in the NFC playoffs. The Broncos’ disappointing season continued on Christmas Eve with a 23-3 loss to the Chargers. Jay Cutler was picked off twice and had a costly first-quarter fumble in last week’s setback that dropped Denver to 6-and-9. The Vikings hold a 7-4 edge in the all-time series, and have won the last two games between the teams.
