Jackson to be Starter When 2008 Starts

Posted by Matt Loede on December 31st, 2007 filed in News

Coach Brad Childress won’t say if Tarvaris Jackson is going to be his starting quarterback when the 2008 season starts.  Childress says it’s difficult to talk about the team’s quarterback situation so close to a season-ending loss.  But he did say he’ll address the issue before the end of the week.  Jackson yesterday passed for 175 yards and two touchdowns while running for 36 yards, rallying the Vikings from 16 points down in the fourth quarter to force overtime.  Wide receiver Bobby Wade says Jackson did well with a new offense and while fighting through injuries.
