Peterson Takes Home the Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year Award

Running back Adrian Peterson received the Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year award earlier today, beating out linebacker Patrick Willis, running back Marshawn Lynch, offensive tackle Joe Thomas and wide receiver Dwayne Bowe. Peterson had an outstanding rookie season, rushing for 1341 yards and 12 touchdowns. He set an NFL record with a game earlier in the season against the Chargers, rushing for 296 yards on 30 carries in a 35-17 win.
