Maybe it is because of the cost of doing business or the team doing relatively well in 2007 or a combination of both; the reason is speculative in nature but the fact remains: the Minnesota Vikings will raise ticket prices for the 2008 season.  The team announced 11 pricing options on Friday for 10-game season-ticket packages (including 2 preseason games), from $99 to $1,230.

The top ticket price ($1,230) represents an increase of $70 from 2007, but the Vikings said that the increase overall is 3%, as opposed to the league average, which is around 6.5% last season.  The other ticket options range in price from $250 to $1,170.
