QB Holcomb Released by the Vikings

Holcomb taken down vs Philly

With the Vikings continuing to be committed to Tavaris Jackson at QB, the team today announced that QB Kelly Holcomb has been released.  Holcomb played just one year with Minnesota, and in three games had a QB rating of 73.1, throwing for 515 yards on 42-of-83 passing with two TD’s and one interception.  At 34 years old, Holcomb’s career may be over, as over the past three seasons he’s played with the Browns, Bills and now the Vikings.  He’ll have a hard time finding work anywhere around the league this spring.
