Vikes Sign OL Mike Jones; Release LB Brannon Carter

The Vikings signed offensive lineman Mike Jones, who’s looking to make an NFL roster for the first time. Jones was an undrafted free agent out of Iowa last year when he signed with San Diego. After the Chargers cut him during training camp, Jones joined the Bears’ practice squad. He was released by Chicago in May. The Vikings also released linebacker Brannon Carter, who played college football at Northern Iowa.
