Brett Favre reportedly told NFL officials that he spoke and exchanged text messages with Vikings coach Brad Childress. But Favre also says the Vikings are not guilty of tampering charges filed by the Green Bay Packers. Childress refuses to comment on the Favre situation, but does feel the quarterback can still play. Favre retired in March and wants to come back, but the Packers are committed to Aaron Rogers as their starting quarterback. The Packers have the rights to Favre, who did not report to the team’s camp yesterday.
