Peterson Sits Out of Practice to Rest Body
Posted by Matt Loede on November 20th, 2008 in News
RB Adrian Peterson sat out of pracitce today, but according to coach Brad Childress it’s more about rest than it is about an injury. The team listed Peterson as “rest” on the injury report. “He is trying to get his body to feel better going into Sunday,” Childress said. Childress said the staff has to monitor players a little closer now that they are practicing inside because the artificial turf is not as forgiving on their bodies as grass. “It takes a toll,” he said. “This is a great facility, but guys are never fond of going on astro [turf] day in and day out. So when you get driven inside with the weather the way it is, you have to count reps. I know how my back feels standing out here.”
