Pat Williams Out 2-6 Weeks with Fractured Scapula

From: The Pioneer Press

Vikings Pro Bowl DT Pat Williams has suffered a shoulder injury that will sideline him two to six weeks, Vikings coach Brad Childress said.Specifically, he has a fractured scapula, Childress said.

Williams was hit by teammate Chad Greenway on a play early in the third quarter, and he had a sling on after Sunday’s victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

If Williams is out, then the Vikings would count on Fred Evans and Jimmy Kennedy to fill the void. As backups go, Evans is pretty solid, and the Vikings could also count on players like Ellis Wyms and Brian Robison for quality snaps.
