Jackson the NFC Offensive Player of the Week; No Decision on QB for Sunday

Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson is the NFC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career. Jackson threw four touchdown passes in the Vikings’ win at Arizona. He’s the first Vikings quarterback to win the weekly honor since Daunte Culpepper did it in 2004. Still, it’s not known if Jackson is going to start Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons at the Metrodome.

Vikings coach Brad Childress says he’ll choose between T-Jack and Gus Frerotte, who’s recovering from a back injury that knocked him out of the lineup in the middle of the December 7th win at Detroit. With two games left in the regular season, the Vikings need just one win to capture the NFL North championship.
