Vikings Want Reconstructed Stadium at Metrodome Site

From: Pioneer Press

When the state legislative session opens next month, look for the Vikings to emphasize to lawmakers that the Gophers’ TCF Bank Stadium has 2,200 construction workers on site and the Twins’ Target Field has 3,100 workers on site. And when those projects are completed, some 5,300 workers will be seeking new jobs, many of which could come from a reconstructed Vikings stadium on the Metrodome site. The Vikings also will mention that the Gophers and Twins stadiums comprise more than $500 million in local subcontracts.
