Vikings defensive tackle Pat Williams has been cleared to try and play in Sunday’s playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Vikings coach Brad Childress said Sunday night that Williams would be examined this morning, and Williams apparently got that clearance. “Pat Williams is going to try and make the push for this weekend,” Childress said. “I don’t know anything about it. We will just have to see what his functional strength is like as he gets out there and goes through the week there.” Williams was optimistic Sunday that he would play next weekend.
