The Vikings have announced that 20,000 seats remain for Sunday’s playoff game at the Metrodome between the home team and the Eagles. Given the manner in which the Vikings limped to the finish line, nearly losing back-to-back home games to end the regular season, we wouldn’t be surprised if the tickets don’t sell — absent the purchase of excess seats by the local FOX affiliate that will broadcast the game, if it isn’t blacked out. The FOX affiliate in Philly is helping to reduce the price tag for the unsold seats by getting the word out regarding the availability of tickets — and the price of hotel rooms and plane fare.
