Stringer’s Widow Reportedly Settles Suit With NFL

ESPN.com reports the widow of former Vikings offensive tackle Korey Stringer has settled her lawsuit with the National Football League. According to the report, the agreement between Kelci Stringer and the NFL says the league will support her efforts to create a heat illness prevention program for athletes of all ages. No other terms of the agreement were made public.

Korey developed fatal heat stroke during Vikings’ camp in July 2001. Kelci still has a lawsuit pending against Riddell, which made the helmet and shoulder pads Korey was wearing during camp.
