Past w/ Childress Rules Out Owens From Being a Viking

For anyone that has thoughts of the Vikings making a run at recently released WR Terrell Owens, well, you can pretty much forget it. The St.Paul Pioneer Press reports that the Vikings have no interest in Owens, who has a past with Brad Childress.
Vikings vice president of player personnel Rick Spielman met with reporters today, and told them that the thought of getting Owens and adding him to the Vikings roster is pretty much a dead issue.
“We never say never, but I know you can put the pieces together and the history with coach Childress,” Spielman said. Childress was the Eagles offensive coordinator when Owens was there, and needless to say time hasn’t healed that wound.
At one point there was a shouting match between the two, as well as Owens reportedly telling Childress not to speak to him anymore.
