The Glenn Holt Addition

Glenn Holt
Glenn Holt recently signed a contract with the Vikings. Terms of the deal are not yet known. Holt will likely compete for a roster spot, trying to prove himself as the Vikings most viable kick returner. Holt averages 24.3 yards on 122 career returns. He also has one touchdown.

In his three years with the Bengals he caught just 20 passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns. Like Karl Paymah, Holt’s signing suggests that the Vikings are committed to improving their special teams this year. Being Holt is only 24, the Vikings are probably also interested to check out his receiving skills. However, since the Bengals chose not to give him a tender of any type even though he was a restricted free agent there is some concern as to whether or not Holt will even be able to crack the 53 man roster in Minnesota.
