The Glenn Holt Addition

Glenn Holt recently signed a contract with the Vikings. Terms of the deal are not yet known. Holt will likely compete for a roster spot, trying to prove himself as the Vikings most viable kick returner. Holt averages 24.3 yards on 122 career returns. He also has one touchdown. In his three years with the [...]

Usually When Something Is Too Good To Be True…

Well, well, well. The saga surrounding Denver quarterback Jay Cutler continues to take turns towards the interesting. As we’ve mentioned once or twice Cutler’s agent, Bus Cook, is busy behind the curtains of the NFL stage trying to direct a show exactly how he wants it to go. The information, mis-information, lies, half-truths, and speculation [...]

Vikings Ink Denver Free Agent CB Karl Paymah

According to PFT the Vikings have agreed to terms with 26-year-old cornerback Karl Paymah. The deal is reported to be a one year deal, which makes Paymah the fifth Vikings cornerback scheduled to be a free agent after this season.

Childress’ Endgame Might Be Continuity

The majority of Vikings fans I’ve heard from recently are stunned at the lack of movement by the Vikings this offseason. Thus far, they have traded for Sage Rosenfels, re-signed a few players, and allowed Matt Birk and Darren Sharper to leave. Sure, they tried to obtain T.J. Houshmanzadeh but those efforts were not fruitful. [...]

Bus Cook Working The Magic

We previously opined that if anyone was able to pry Jay Cutler away from Denver, it’d be his agent Bus Cook. Well, it looks as if Cook might be laying the groundwork for getting jay out of Denver and into a new (and hefty) contract. Channel 7 in Denver is reporting that Jay Cutler has [...]

Vikings Staff Up To Full Strength

Scout.com reports that the Vikings have hired three coaches to get the remaining holes filled. The coaches at Chris White, Jason Glenn, and Bill Polian. White will fill the shoes of Special Teams Assistant. He comes in from Syracuse where he served as an Assistant Coach. Jason Glenn, who was once a Vikings linebacker, will [...]

Torry Holt Officially On The Market

So much for Leonard Weaver being the best free agent available. As expected, the Rams have released veteran wide out Torry Holt. The 32 year old has had a great career thus far, generating 1,000 yard seasons in eight of his ten seasons playing. He also has 74 career touchdowns. Holt will be coveted by [...]

Seifert And Zulgad Team Up Again

A while back Kevin Seifert left the Minneapolis Star Tribune, and his partner Judd Zulgad, to be ESPN’s primary blogger for the entire NFC North. In the last few days Seifert and Zulgad have somewhat joined forces again to follow a lead that Seifert received claiming that T.J. Houshmandzadeh chose not to sign with the [...]

Weaver Is The Best Free Agent Available

A fullback doesn’t exactly sell tickets. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen fans wearing the jersey of a fullback. Fullbacks make highlight reels only once or twice a season. Some teams don’t even seem to care if they have a fullback on the roster anymore. Seahawk’s free agent fullback, Leanord Weaver, finds himself on top [...]

Karl Paymah – What’s The Deal?

It is reported that free agent cornerback Karl Paymah is meeting with Vikings officials on Friday. Paymah has made an unusually high number of visits so far in free agency having already met with the Ravens, Browns, Buccaneers, and the 49ers. One has to wonder why Paymah, who is not exactly a well known player, [...]
