The Sports World Blows Up

Holy Tractor Tires, the sports world is bracing itself for Favre to make a decision on whether or not to become a Viking.  There’s been about a zillion opinions, analysis, reports, polls, interviews, tweets, text messages, and who knows what else being thrown around today.

Let’s try and go through it all here, big breath, ready for the run-on sentance, grab a quick drink, pee if you need to, and… GO!

Some Vikings fans like the idea of Brett in purple and some don’t, just like some Packers fans vow to hate him if he does it while some say they’ll wear purple next season.  Bus Cook says it’s all a lie, but Childress has boarded a flight, and Bernard Berrian likes the idea, Kevin Williams is looking forward to giggling with Brett again, Sharper thinks his opinion is still relevant, and Nick Barnett says Brett will become the enemy.  Some people think his arm is good to go, some people don’t, but meanwhile even Governor Pawlenty thinks it’s a great idea, which could only mean he saw my post about giving him season tickets next to Brett’s bikini girls.  ESPN has expressed every possible opinion on the matter, and so has NFL Network.  Jets fans think the Vikings are stupid and doomed if they do a deal.  Some think Favre will never attend the Vikings OTA’s and Childress will have none of it.  Some think he’ll play practically for free for a chance to get even with Ted Thompson, Mike McCarthy welcomes the challenge, and some think he’ll eat up most of the Vikings remaining $17 million in cap space.

Phew!

I’m going to avoid going into too much more detail until the dust settles on this thing.  At this point, the speculation is just too much, and until we hear it from Favre or Childress, then none of us know what the heck is going on.
