Giants Vikings Football
It’s funny to keep hearing all the rumors about what the future would hold for Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson IF the team was going to get a deal done with Brett Favre.

The Pioneer Press reports that there would have been a good shot that the team would have moved Jackson if Favre would have come along. And who knows really if that is still going to happen.

Jackson has been hailed more times than not as the “QB of the Future,” yet can’t keep hold of the starting job, and now the team has Sage Rosenfels waiting in the wings, and who knows – maybe Favre.

Here’s what the Pioneer Press says about the possibility of moving Jackson:

They might be able to get a low draft pick in a trade for Tavaris Jackson. Jackson is in the final year of his contract. The Vikings control Booty’s contract for three more years, and his salary is about $400,000 less than Jackson’s. And, frankly, Booty, although a fifth-round draft pick, might have more upside than Jackson. Jackson has been in the Vikings’ system for three years, so they know what they have. Booty still could develop.

It seems almost a lock that Jackson is not going to be around a whole lot longer if he can’t get his act together and start playing a whole lot better.
