TRAINING CAMP: Tidbits From The Offense

Here are few notes regarding the Vikings offense after a few days of training camp:

  • Adrian Peterson said he learned his lesson about talking to the media about his weight.  He checked in at 220 pounds on Friday.
  • Percy Harvin remains unsigned, giving valuable reps to Darius Reynaud.
  • Second Round pick Phil Loadholt has had a good camp so far, and has been mostly with the first team.
  • Ryan Cook has been getting reps at many different spots.
  • Bobby Williams did not practice on Saturday.
  • John David Booty has had ups and downs thus far.
  • Bernard Berrian and Sidney Rice have practiced like the starting wide outs they’re expected to be.
  • Childress says he won’t bring in another quarterback and that Jackson will be fine.
  • Bernard Berrian is going to use his twitter habits to “mess with” the media all season long.
  • Adrian Peterson is still having problems hanging onto passes and on pass blocking drills.
  • Rosenfels has made it clear he’s ready for Favre talk to stop.
  • Peterson says 2,000 yards and League MVP are still his personal goals.
  • Jaymar Johnson and Sidney Rice looked much improved, possibly having to do with their Larry Fitzgerad camp work outs.
  • Bobby Wade has dropped a few passes, surprisingly.
