A Must Have

Just a quick note to tell you about a book I just started reading that I cannot put down.  An advanced copy of The Vikings Reader was sent to me this week and I cracked it open tonight.  It’s an incredible book that chronicles the high and the low points in Vikings history, and truly makes you feel like you are there living it (or re-living it as the case may be for some of you).

All the way from how the franchise was started to Adrian Peterson’s rushing record, editor Armand Peterson brilliantly navigates us through the team’s most pivotal moments using the perspective of sports-writers and commentators.  I’m only a few chapters in, but I had to hop on here and tell you all about it ASAP.

You can pre-order a copy here.  Or multiple copies if you want to get your Christmas shopping done early.

I’m going to work on setting up a Vikings Gab interview with the editor, and I think we may also get some copies to give away to readers in some sort of contest thingy when it comes out in September.  I was thinking about doing one of those “make a caption for this goofy photo” type of contest.  What do you think?
