Sage To Start Today

Brad Childress told Paul Allen of KFAN that Sage Rosenfels will get the first-team reps tonight against Indianapolis.

Don’t think too much of this decision, as Childress announced a while back that Sage and Tarvaris Jackson would split the first two games.  Next week against Kanasas City, Jackson will likely start.  Then, since week four will be a completly meaningless game, expect the player who gets the starting nod in week three of preseason to be the heavy favorite in this quarterback battle.

Another interesting note to Childress picking Rosenfels to start is that Rosenfels hasn’t played the Colts since this happened:

In case you didn’t know, Rosenfels has become most famous for “RosenChoking” against the Colts last season in one of the worst self-imploding performances ever. However, it was just one game… but he’ll still never live that down.

[EDITOR’S NOTE: Ooops, Matt beat me by a few seconds on the post below… but I still have a fancy video so I’m leaving mine up.]
