Pat Williams to Make Preseason Debut Monday Night

The Star-Tribune reports that Pat Williams will make his preseason debut vs the Texans Monday night:

Defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier said he expects the Vikings’ entire No. 1 defense will start Monday night in Houston, marking the first time that has happened this preseason. That means Pro Bowl nose tackle Pat Williams will get to play after sitting out the first two preseason games. Williams is looking forward to playing, according to Frazier. “Pat’s played many, many preseason games,” Frazier said when asked why the veteran was held out. “It’s not as important for him as it is for some of our younger guys. The third preseason game is the one that he’ll play in. It’s nothing to do with him physically or anything. It’s just a decision that we’ve made.”
