Glenn Holt Leaves Vikes, Stays In The North

The Vikings decided to part ways with receiver Glenn Holt, which did not come as much of a surprise given the solid play coming from Darius Reynaud and Jaymar Johnson during the preseason.  Holt was claimed on waivers by the Detroit Lions, where he will again try to earn his keep in a crowded receiving group.

Currently, the Vikings still have nine wideouts on the roster.  It would not be too big of a surprise if the Vikes decided to keep six on their final roster, allowing both Johnson and Reynaud to stay with the team.
