Next Year’s All Free Agent Team

As long as I was on the topic of the 2010 offseason, I thought I’d take a look around the league to see who could possibly be coming available in free agency. Again, lots of things (like contract extensions) can happen between now and then. In fact, in the time between when I started writing this post and when I finished writing this post, I had to take off Terrence McGee because he signed an extension. Regardless, here is my “starting team” consisting of potential 2010 free agents. Ages are what they will be next year.

Let me know what you think. Who should be on there instead of who? Who should the Vikings be interested in? Let me know.

Hey ak, we dont have alot of weak spots. If T.Johnson doesnt work out maybe Landry would be worth a look. I think Vikes need a better FB, and of course theres the QB posistion.

I think Johnson is going to be solid. Have we seen anything from him to suggest otherwise? He stepped in as a rookie and played very well.

    Tarvaris Jackson for QB!

Ok, maybe not, but I think Chester Taylor’s deal expires after this season. He could definitely make your list.

  3. c.carterhof says:

It would be great if we could resign Taylor. I know he’s gettin a bit old for a RB.

I think since he has low mileage as an NFL RB, and he’s a playmaker, he’d be worth it.

Yeah, I thought about Chester, but figured I’d refrain from putting any Vikes on the list in hopes of them re-signing certain ones.

c.c. – I completely agree, even though it would be sad for Chester to never have more than his one season as “the guy”, if he is smart he will re-sign with us, where he has a great role and will probably be able to play until he is 34-35, VERY long career for a half back.

Second, I can’t believe the Raiders gave up a 1st round pick for Seymour with 1 year left on his contract… are you sure about that?!?! What a bunch of MORONS! Al Davis is a dipstick.

Seymour has not signed a contract extension with the Raiders… as of now he’s still a 2010 free agent
