Winfield Does Some Work; Other Injury News
Antoine Winfield did some light work in practice today, which is a good sign for the much-missed defender.
Also limited in practice were Brett Favre (hip/groin), E.J. Henderson (knee), and Bernard Berrian (hamstring).
It is nice to see that the bye week allowed the Vikings injury report to get considerably smaller.
Two of the Lions best defenders, linebackers Ernie Sims and Larry Foote, did not participate in practice Wednesday.

We can take no opponent lightly. Score big fast, dominate defensively and sit Favre down for second half.

Sorry c.c. but I just cant forget the two games last year when we should have blown them out. But I will give ya this is alot different team this year. But the Lions are a division opponent. I hope you come hear Sunday night and tell me ‘I told you so bigj’. I will gladly eat some crow.

I’m sure hoping for an early blowout, just to get Jackson some real playing time.
I wouldn’t be at all opposed to even starting him.
Seems like when Jackson comes into games late, with no pressure to speak of, he does well.
It’s when he starts, he seems to faulter.
If he’s ever going to be our starter, and I still think the posibilty is there, we need to see some extended playing time out of him THIS year. There’s a reason Rosenfels is our 3rd stringer, so obviously if Jackson can’t cut the mustard, we MUST draft (Or trade) for a QB.

Fran, c.c. purple, I hope for a blowout as much as you guys, but I just have this feeling about playing a division rival with nothing to lose.

Charlie, great to see you here!
I agree… it may not be a blow out, but I have little doubt that this will be a solid victory. Two weeks to prepare for the worst team in football? If they lose then someone needs to be fired

Right on Adam, if they blow this one, heads need to roll. They’ll be under alot of pressure to blow out the worst team in football.
