McKinnie was selected seventh overall by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2002 NFL Draft. He started every game for Minnesota from 2003-2007, and has a streak of 80 consecutive games started. At 6'8" and 335 lbs with size 18 EEE feet, McKinnie is the largest offensive lineman on the Vikings roster.

That is just a portion about Mckinnie that I know...

I am with you Adam, What the Heck is up with people voting more for Pat than Kevin?! I am truly glad fan voting is as small a portion as it is and would even be glad to see the 1/3 portion reduced.

As much as I dislike McKinnie I have to agree with Brendan. McKinne has been having a heck of a year compared to the last few years. Sean Jensen of twincities.com wrote an article about his play this year that was decent.

I know you aren't a huge McKinnie fan Adam, but I would have to disagree with your assessment. He is playing pretty close to a Pro Bowl level. Sure he has some plays where he looks lost, but he has given up a total of ONE sack all season. One sack for a LT who is dominant in the run game is pretty darn good. From what I can remember (and I've watched ever play, but haven't really kept tabs) he isn't getting penalized as often as in the past. All in all, I've been very pleased with our D-Line as of late.

Another great post Adam. Thanks. I think alot of the voting has to do with fans feeling good about their team. If the fans arent feeling good, they are probably not going to waste the time to vote. The perception being they dont have anyone worth voting for. I know I get that way when the Vikes arent doing well. I too am very suprised on Tahi, McKinney and Sully. I'll give Sully a pass but the other two, cmon give me a break.
