True... he earned his spot prior to being drafted... no doubt. At this point, I'd be willing to let him give safety a shot... I'm sick of our current duo... though hopefully the light bulb goes on sometime very soon.

Thanks for the kind words G.P.
I, for one, am always happy to see you posting comments.

Leber lacks the range to be one of the truly exciting linebackers in the NFL, no doubt about that. But he has taken his strengths and used them to his advantage and had a very productive run with the Vikes.

True he was in no danger of being cut. Very seldom do teams cut newly drafted players because they've yet to really play and showcase their ability. However, Allen through the Combine, Pro Day, footage, and other venues demonstrated his capability to be a possible contributor to a pro team. As do most potential NFL players. The process is rigorous and being drafted to perhaps play among the best is no small feat. So, bigjohnny84 is still correct Allen made the team and they did in fact cut Marcus M. Yes we are set at RB I really like A. Peterson. I was attempting to be sarcastic but my efforts fell short. I was aiming to play on the idea that in the post Warwas in his comic rant about Allen said he could play a variety of positions. Warwas I always appreciate your insight and humor. I check numerous sites pretaining to the Vikes and find Vikings Gab a cut above. I enjoy being a Vikings Gab reader for both the site itself and the commradire of other very intelligent readers. My compliments to all.

By the way Adam good job of giving kudos to Leber. I agree he is very good and very underrated. It seems to me you never hear that Leber missed a tackle or blew a coverage. Tells me he's a very sound player.

GP I think we are pretty set at RB. Though I would like to see him get a shot at safety. That I believe would be a very easy transition for him. I think he would eventually be better than what we got now.

Gold on the spit. Roses on the sneeze.

Got it.

I don't even want to know what happens when he farts.

I will endevour to keep the VG readers updated on our new favorite player every week. Maybe you can use your close connection to Double A to hook us up with an interview? ;)

Teams don't just cut third rounders in their first year... he was in no danger of being cut.

bigjohnny84 very very good point! I attribute Asher A's making the team to his talent , agility, ability to read the field, and a host of other skills. He's a quick learner prehaps we should give him a shot at RB?! Give it some thought it may grow on you.
