Seriously!?!
Some people thought that I was being too harsh when I said Adrian Peterson needed to be benched for a length of time. The point was to get it through to him, and any other Vikings player, that they need to be conscious of their off-field actions.
Now I say an example needs to be made of not only Adrian Peterson, but also Bernard Berrian.
WCCO reports that Bernard Berrian was ticketed for driving 104 mph on I-694 in Oakdale. His Audi was racing at that speed in a posted limit of 60 mph on Monday night.
It is shocking that the two citations happened within two days of each other.
Capt. Matt Langer of the Minnesota State Patrol said, “It is a little bit odd, but on the other hand, I like the publicity about it, because it sort of tells people here are the ramifications, first of all. And you’re going to get caught.”
“These are two individuals who’ve been around and they are adults and they realize how to behave, and they got caught for their actions. So that’s the message I’d like people to take home. If you’re going to conduct your driving behavior that ridiculous, then be prepared to pay the consequences.”
The key word there is “ridiculous.”
Somebody please tell these guys to slow down. We don’t need our best players to be arrested, injured, or dead simply because they like to drive at a “ridiculous” speed.

I actually fell out of love with AP a long time ago, I love how he plays football, and appreciate his sense of humor among other things. But he still lives a stereotypically bad life. He has children with at least 2 different women who live in TX and OK, I think (this was all in that video he and his father made awhile back). Anyone can be a father, it takes a man to be a Dad. He is not a man. I have dreaded the days when this kind of thing will come to light in his life. I fear that someday he will be old and alone after his glory days, without any real friends due to his fame, and his children may very well resent the hell out of him for not living anywhere near them as he grows up a famous athlete. One can only hope they end up with a step-father like Tyrell Johnson did.
Okay, I am done for now.

Cmon starr, not everyone is a saint. Stereotypical bad life? You make him sound like a terrible person. He’s still pretty young, he may not be a man yet but at that age neither was I. He did not have it easy growin up-
His father Nelson served eight years in prison, starting when Adrian was 12, for laundering drug money. Adrian’s brother Brian, older by one year, was killed by a drunk driver when Adrian was eight; another half-brother was murdered the night before Adrian participated in the NFL Combine.
He has one daughter, Adeja.
Is it his fault he doent live near his kid, or kids? I certainly dont know. I just dont recall hearing or reading anything that bad about the kid.
All this over a speeding ticket? I just got one of those about 3 months ago.

I didn’t even re-read that post to see how choppy it is. Sorry for the brain dump.

I concur….these guys have million dollar contracts for a reason. They need to do it better than everyone else…on and off the field. They have an entire team and a pile of fans depending on them……

bigjohnny84-
No, I dont really drink, I was maybe a little pissed off by the way these athletes sometimes think they are above everyone else. I feel a tiny bit guilty about letting the fire burn so hot, if that makes sense.
Welp, on to the Cardinals.
