64.  Vikings –  Reshad Jones, FS/SS, Georgia

So I decided to only give analysis on the Vikings’ picks this time around.

Tony Pike is having a dream season and his stock will never be higher, meaning he’s almost a sure thing to declare for the draft.  While his arm strength will keep him from getting drafted too early, his intelligence and accuracy gives him enough potential to be worth a late first rounder.

Reshad Jones has a big frame for a safety and, unlike the Vikings current safeties, knows how to tackle.  He also has decent speed and coverage skills.  Jones would be value pick at this point in the draft as well.

Adam I love the fact that you still have the Vikes winning the SB. But to be more accurate you should slide the Vikes down a few spots. I know you cant do that, but just speculate a little more and it will be a little more accurate.

  2. Adam Warwas says:

Can’t do it Johnny… not yet.

Don’t worry, there are lots of weeks between the end of the season and the draft in which I will know exactly where the Vikes are drafting.

  3. bigjohnny84 says:

Great job still having Tebows in the first. Will drives Freds crazy.

  4. bigjohnny84 says:

Adam, if we do slip a few spots, do we still take Pike? I would.

  5. Adam Warwas says:

Tough to say… one of those big nose tackles a few spots ahead of us sure would be tempting.

  6. Tomb says:

Pike seems like a great pick to me. Watched him twice this year and I liked what I saw.

Sadly, MY endorsement likely means he would suck for the Vikes.

  7. starrc10 says:

Your description of Pike makes him sound like Brad Johnson/Kyle Orton. I guess that would be okay for awhile.

  8. Chris says:

Cowboys picks need work. They are a 3-4 defense and you have them drafting a 4-3 OLB and a 4-3 DE. Carter may be able to move inside to ILB but I’m not sure Romeus could stand up and play OLB in the 3-4.

  9. Mike J says:

Bucs fan here; I could live w/ these 3 picks!!
