Winfield A Go vs. Bengals
Posted by Stephen Rhodes on December 12th, 2009 in News
The Minnesota Vikings received a bit of good news as it was learned that cornerback Antoine Winfield, who has missed the last six games with a foot injury, will play on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to a source with knowledge of the situation; it is not certain as of this post whether Winfield will start.

Great news. I do not want to see him on special teams though. I would think they will use him sparingly, unless he really is 100%.

Johnnys,
Why would they play Tony on special teams?

I don’t know Freds!! Why would they play Antoine on special teams??
I just want to reiterate, that it was great to see a lot of the OAV gang at the Bengal preview blog. I hope a lot of you keep coming back to the Gab.
I still get a charge out the “how to run away from bears” story. LOL Shoot you buddy in the knee to get the advantage. LOL

It’s good news, so we can keep Palmer honest on the corners. Hopefully we can get enough help over the middle, which honestly hasn’t been our strong point on coverage this season.
GO VIKES!!

Why can’t Mr. Rhodes manage the live chat tomorrow? Wouldn’t be the same with AKs, but heck the Vike will continue without EJ, I guess we could do without…. never mind.

It would be nice to see Fred’s old Pal Coach Buds here at the gab. If anyone has connections to the the old plad wearing grouse hunter, tell him to come on by!

Hey Freds. Word came on the ole AV that you were lookin’ for me. We’ll see if this gets through, I’m not a great tech guy ya know.
I was just lamenting the lack of ‘toine on the field a few days ago, so this is good news. I think our defense needs a little ‘tude, specially now with EJ on the sideline. That was a really bad event that young man had.
Had a bad feeling about last week’s game, and a good one about this week. Let’t hope I’m right.

Hey Coach,
I like the “gut-feeling” approach. Earlier this week I came to conclusion (based on gut-feelings of course) that if ‘Toine played, we would win.
End Transmission.

Welcome to the gab Coach, Good to have ya here! Antoine has been my favorite current Viking for years.
I think he makes a difference. Tho I dont like the “gut feelin” I have about this game.
I think it’s gonna be a very close hard fought game, home crowd is gonna help.
22-20 Vikes win, on a last second Longwell FG. And I am 10-2 on Viking prediction’s this year!
