Winfield Thinks He’ll Play, Harvin Questionable, Tyrell Johnson Doubtful

The latest roster news from pro sports daily is that “Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield said he believes he will play against Cincinnati on Sunday. Winfield said Friday it will be a game-time decision whether he will play after recovering from a right-foot injury. Winfield officially is listed as questionable on the injury report, but he is encouraged by the way he felt this week in practice with no setbacks. “I think this is the week I finally get back out there and get to get some action,” he said. “So we’ll see how the (pregame) warmups go on Sunday and hopefully I’m up (activated).” Winfield originally was expected to miss about four to six weeks after a fracture he suffered Oct. 18 against Baltimore.

Rookie Percy Harvin missed practice for a third consecutive day Friday because of migraines and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Harvin has a history of migraines and has dealt with them at different times this season, but this is the first time he has missed an entire week of practice because of them. “It’s tough,” coach Brad Childress said. “He’s certainly behind the 8-ball.” A questionable listing means there is a 50 percent chance that Harvin will play against the Bengals. Safety Tyrell Johnson was listed as doubtful after missing all week of practice because of a concussion and likely will be replaced by rookie Jamarca Sanford.

Hope Percy can play. He’s our biggest weapon. They better open up some holes for AD. They’ve pissed around long enough with the run game, time to take it right at them.
